✦: Hadith: Nine advices of RasoolAllah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam
-----
✦: Abu Darda Radi Allahu Anhu said, The Messenger of Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam gave nine advices to me:
1. Do not associate anything with Allah, even if you are cut to pieces or burned.
2. Do not abandon a prescribed prayer deliberately. Anyone who abandons it will lose Allah's protection.
3. Do not drink wine - it is the key to every evil.
4. Obey your parents. If they command you to abandon your worldly possessions, then leave them for them.
5. Do not contend with those in power, even if you think that you are in the right.
6. Do not run away from the army when it advances, even if you are killed while your companions run away.
7. Spend on your family out of your means.
8. Do not raise a stick against your family (or wife)
9. Command your family to fear Allah, the Almighty and Exalted.
Al-Adab Al-Mufrad , (Imam Bukhari) 18-Hasan

JazakAllah for sharing these nine precious advices of the Prophet, peace be upon him. The first few alone — never associating anything with Allah, never abandoning prayer deliberately, and obeying one's parents — cover the very foundations of a Muslim's life. What struck me is how these advices pair with the Quran: the command to worship Allah alone and honor parents echoes throughout Surah Yaseen, the heart of the Quran, which I recite with its translation to keep these teachings alive in the heart. Reading such hadith with their meaning alongside the Quran turns knowledge into action. May Allah reward you for spreading the Sunnah.
