Dua to recite when slaughtering or Sacrifice an animal

✦ Dua of Rasool Allah ﷺ  when slaughtering / Sacrifice

It was narrated that Jabir bin Abdullah radi alahu anhu said: 

Rasool Allah Sal-Allahu alaihi wasallam sacrificed two rams on the Day of Eid. When he turned them to face towards 

the prayer direction he said:

إِنِّي وَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِيَ لِلَّذِي فَطَرَ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ حَنِيفًا وَمَا أَنَا مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ

إِنَّ صَلاَتِي وَنُسُكِي وَمَحْيَاىَ وَمَمَاتِي

لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ

لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَبِذَلِكَ أُمِرْتُ وَأَنَا أَوَّلُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ

اللَّهُمَّ مِنْكَ وَلَكَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ وَأُمَّتِهِ

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ

✦ inni wajjahtu wajhiya Lillazi Fataras samawaati wal arda 

hanifaw wamaa ana minal mushrikeen. 

innassalaati Wa Nusuki Wa Mahyaya Wa Mamati Lillahi Rabbil A'lameen. 

La sharika lahu Wa bizaalika umirtu Wa Ana awwalul muslimeen. 

Allahumma Minka Wa laka 

Aan Muhammadiw wa ummatihi 

Bismillahi Wa-Allahu Akbar

Note:

1. if this sacrifice is behalf of you then you should say 

Haza Anni Bismillahi wallahu akbar

2. if this sacrifice is behalf of somebody else and for example his name is Abdullah then you should say Haza An Abdullah , Bismillahi wallahu akbar

Narrated Al-Bara' ibn Azib Radi Allahu Anhu : 
The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said Four (types of animals) should be avoided in sacrifice: 

1. A One-eyed animal which has obviously lost the sight of one eye, 
2. a sick animal which is obviously sick, 
3. a lame animal which obviously limps and 
4. an animal with a broken leg with no marrow.

Roman Translation:
Al-Bara' ibn Azib Radi Allahu Anhu se rivayat hai ki Rasoollallah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya Qurbani ke liye chaar tarah ke jaanwar durast nahi hai
1. Wo jiska kaanapan ya bhaingapan bilkul zahir ho,
2. dusra wo jo dekhney se hi beemar lagta ho,
3. teesra wo jiska langdapan bilkul zahir ho,
4. aur chotha wo jo budha aur bilkul kamjor ho jiski haddiyon mein Gooda na ho
Sunan Abu Dawud, Vol 2 1029-Sahih

Hadith: any one of you intending to sacrifice the animal enters in the month (of Dhu'l-Hijja) he should not get his hair or nails touched (cut).

Hadith: Umm Salama reported Allah's Messenger may peace be upon him having said this: When any one of you intending to sacrifice the animal enters in the month (of Dhil-Hijja) he should not get his hair or nails touched (cut).
Sahih Muslim, Book 022, Number 4869

Umm Salama, the wife of Allah's Apostle may peace be upon him reported Allah's Messenger may peace be upon him have said: He who has a sacrificial animal with him whom (he intends) to offer as sacrifice, and he enters the month of DhiI-Hijja, he should not get his hair cut or nails trimmed until he has sacrificed the animal.

Umm Salama Radi allahu anha se rivayat hai ki Rasoollallah Sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya jab tum Dhul Hijja ka chand dekho aur tum mein se koi Qurbani karna chahe to apne baal aur nakhun yuhi rahne de ( yani na kaate)
Sahih Muslim , Vol 5, #5119

Umm Salama Radi allahu anha se rivayat hai ki Rasoollallah Sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya Jiskey paas janwar ho zabah karne ke liye aur Zil Hijja ka chand aa jaye ( ya jab Dhu'l-Hijja ka mahina aa jaye) to apne Baal na katwaye aur na Nakhun tarashe jab tak qurbani na kar le.
