Zakat Al Fitr

- Zakat Al Fitr-

Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas Radi Allahu Anhu : 
The Apostle of Allah Sallallahu alaihi wasallam prescribed the Zakat-al-fitr (alms) relating to the breaking of the fast as a purification of the fasting from empty and obscene talk and as food for the poor. If anyone pays it before the prayer (of 'Id), it will be accepted as zakat. If anyone pays it after the prayer, that will be a sadaqah like other sadaqahs (alms)

Narrated Ibn Umar Radi Allahu Anhuma: 
The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam enjoined the payment of one Sa' of dates or one Sa' of barley as Zakat-ul-Fitr on every Muslim slave or free, male or female, young or old, and he Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ordered that it be paid before the people went out to offer the 'Id prayer. (One Sa' = 3 Kilograms approx.)

Narrated Abu barda bin Abdullah Radi allahu anhu 
When the Prophet Sal-Allahu Alaihi Wasallam feared a (group of) people, he would say
Allahumma inna najaluka fi nuhureehim wa nauzubika min shurureehim.
("O Allah, we make you our shield against them, and take refuge in you from their evils.)

Allah's Messenger Sal-Allahu Alaihi Wasallam asked for Allah's wrath upon the Ahzab (confederates), saying,
اللَّهُمَّ مُنْزِلَ الْكِتَابِ، سَرِيعَ الْحِسَابِ، اهْزِمِ الأَحْزَابَ، اهْزِمْهُمْ وَزَلْزِلْهُمْ
Allahumma munzilal kitab , Saree'Al hisab, ihzamil Ahzab, ihzimhum wa zalzilhum
(O Allah, the Revealer of the Holy Book, and the One swift at reckoning! Defeat the confederates; Defeat them and shake them.)

He Sal-Allahu Alaihi Wasallam said: Help me for yourself by making prostrations abundantly.

✦ لا اِلهَ اِلَّا اللّهُ وَحْدَهُ لا شَرِيكَ لَهُ ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَ لَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَ هُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ✦
"La ilaha illal-lah wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahu-l-mulk wa lahu-l-hamd wa huwa 'ala kulli shai'in qadir," 

✦ one hundred times will get the same reward as given for manumitting (freeing) ten slaves; 

✦ and one hundred good deeds will be written in his accounts, 

✦ and one hundred sins will be deducted from his accounts, 

✦ and it (his saying) will be a shield for him from Satan on that day till night, 
✦ and nobody will be able to do a better deed except the one who does more than he

Dua to say in graveyard

Hadith: It was narrated from Sulaiman bin Buraidah that his 

father said:

“The Messenger of Allah Sal-Allahu Alaihi Wasallam used to 

teach them, when they went out to the graveyard, to say:

السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ أَهْلَ الدِّيَارِ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُسْلِمِينَ وَإِنَّا إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ بِكُمْ لاَحِقُونَ نَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ 

لَنَا وَلَكُمُ الْعَافِيَةَ .
As-salamu ‘alaykum ahlad-diyar minal-mu’minina wal- 

muslimin, wa inna insha’ Allah bikum lahiqun, nas’alul-laha 

lana wa lakumul-‘afiyah

(Peace be upon you, O inhabitants of the abodes, believers and 

Muslims, and we will join you soon if Allah wills. We ask Allah

 for well-being for us and for you).’”

{Sunan Ibn Majah, Vol. 1, Book 6, Hadith 1547}

Hadith : Oh Bilal I heard your footsteps in front of me in Paradise.

Narrated Abu Huraira Radi Allahu Anhu At the time of the Fajr prayer the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam asked Bilal radi allahu anhu, Tell me of the best deed you did after embracing Islam, for I heard your footsteps in front of me in Paradise. 
Bilal Radi Allahu Anhu replied, "I did not do anything worth mentioning except that whenever I performed ablution during the day or night, I prayed after that ablution as much as was written for me. 
{Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 2, Book 21, Hadith 250}



It was Narrated from tamim dari may ALLAH be pleased with him that the Prophet Peace be upon him said The first thing for which A person will be brought to a account on the Day of Resurrection will be his prayer (Salah) . If it is complete then the voluntary ( Nawafil) prayer will also be recorded for him (As an increase) If it is not complete then Allah will say to his Angels Look and see wheather you find any voluntary (Nawafil) prayer for my slave and take them to make up what is lacking from his obligatory ( farz) prayers then All his deeds will be recokened in like manner

Narrated 'Ali Radi Allahu Anhu : Allah's Apostle Sallallahu Alaihi wasallam said , "There is none amongst you but has been assigned a place (either) in Paradise and (or) in the Hell-Fire." The people said (to him), "Should we not depend upon it?" He said: carry on doing (good) deeds, for everybody will find easy such deeds as will lead him to his destined place.

It was narrated that Anas bin Malik Radi Allahu Anhu said 
The Messenger of Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said: 
Whoever asks Allah for Paradise three times, Paradise will say: 
O Allah, admit him to Paradise. And whoever seeks protection from Hell-fire three times, Hell-fire will say: O Allah, protect him from the Hell-Fire

Allahumma inni Asaluka Jannat-Al-Firdaus

Narrated Anas Radi Allahu Anhu : While the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam was delivering a sermon on a Friday, a man stood up and said, "O Allah's Apostle Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam Invoke Allah to bless us with rain." (The Prophet invoked Allah for rain.) So, the sky became overcast and it started raining till one could hardly reach one'shome. It kept on raining till the next Friday when the same man or another man got up and said (to the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ), "Invoke Allah to withhold the rain from us, for we have been drowned (with heavy rain )." The Prophet said, "O Allah! Let it rain around us and not on us." Then the clouds started dispersing around Medina and rain ceased to fall on the people of Medina.

Anas bin Malik Radhi allahu anhu reported:
The Messenger of Allah Sal-Allahu Alaihi Wasallam said: I will come to the gate of Paradise on the Day of Resurrection. and would seek its opening. and the keeper would say: Who are you? I would say: Muhammad Sal-Allahu Alaihi Wasallam . He would then say: It is for you that I have been ordered, and not to open it for anyone before you.

Narrated Anas Radhi allahu anhu A bowl of water was brought to the Prophet Sal-Allahu Alaihi Wasallam while he was at Az-Zawra. He placed his hand in it and the water started flowing among his fingers. All the people performed ablution (with that water). Qatada Radhi allahu anhu asked Anas Radhi allahu anhu , "How many people were you?" he replied, "Three hundred or nearly three hundred."
Sahih Bukhari, Book 56, Hadith 772


Narrated by Jabir bin `Abdullah Radhi allahu anhu , "The people became very thirsty on the day of Al-Hudaibiya (Treaty). A small pot containing some water was in front of the Prophet Sal-Allahu Alaihi Wasallam , He asked, 'What is wrong with you?' They replied, 'We have no water either for performing ablution or for drinking except what is present in front of you.' So he placed his hand in that pot and the water started flowing among his fingers like springs. We all drank and performed ablution (from it)." I asked Jabir, "How many were you?" he replied, "Even if we had been one-hundred-thousand, it would have been sufficient for us, but we were fifteen-hundred."

Narrated by Abdullah Radi Allahu Anhu Once we were with Propeht Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam on a journey, and we ran short of water. He said, "Bring the water remaining with you." The people brought a utensil containing a little water. He placed his hand in it and said, "Come to the blessed water, and the Blessing is from Allah." I saw the water flowing from among the fingers of Propeht Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam , and no doubt, we heard the meal glorifying Allah, when it was being eaten (by him).

Narrated By Anas Radi Allaho Anhu : The Prophet Sal-Allahu Alaihi Wasallam said, "Do not practice Al-Wisal (fasting continuously without breaking one's fast in the evening or eating before the following dawn)." The people said to the Prophet SallallahuAlaihi Wasallam , "But you practice Al-Wisal?" The Prophet replied, "I am not like any of you, for I am given food and drink (by Allah) during the night."
Sahih Bukhari, Book 31,182.

Narrated Aisha Radi Allahu Anha: Allah's Apostle Sallallahu Alaihi wasallam said, "O Aisha! This is Gabriel sending his greetings to you." I said, "Peace, and Allah's Mercy be on him." 'Aisha Radi Allaho Anha added: The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi wasallam used to see things which we used not to see.

Abdullah bin amr Radhi allahu anhu reported:
I said : Oh Messenger of Allah Sal-Allahu Alaihi Wasallam , it has been narrated to me that you said: The prayer of a man in a sitting position is half of the prayer, whereas you are observing prayer sitting. He (the Holy Prophet) said: Yes, it is so, but I am not like anyone amongst you.( means I get full reward of half even)

Narrated Anas bin Malik Radi Allahu Anhu : I heard the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam saying, "Perform the bowing and the prostration properly (with peace of mind), for, by Him in Whose Hand my soul is, I see you from behind my back when you bow and when you prostrate."

Narrated Nafi Radhi allahu anhu : Ibn Umar Radhi allahu anhu said, The Prophet Sal-Allahu Alaihi Wasallam said, 'Do the opposite of what the pagans do. Keep the beards and cut the moustaches short.' Whenever Ibn `Umar performed the Hajj or `Umra, he used to hold his beard with his hand and cut whatever moustaches. Ibn `Umar used to cut his moustache so short that the whiteness of his skin (above the upper lip) was visible, and he used to cut (the hair) between his moustaches and his beard.

Narrated Ibn Umar Radhi allahu anhu Allah's Messenger Sal-Allahu Alaihi Wasallam said, "Cut the moustaches short and leave the beard (as it is).

AL Quran : And this (submission to ALLAH, Islam) was enjoined by Ibrahim (Abraham alihi salam) upon his sons and by Ya'qub (Jacob Alaihi salam) (saying), "O my sons! ALLAH has chosen for you the (true) religion, so do not die except while you are Muslims.
Surah Al-baqara (2), Verse 132

Al Quran : O you who have believed, fear Allah as He should be feared and do not die except as Muslims [in submission to Him].

فَاطِرَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ أَنتَ وَلِيِّي فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ 
تَوَفَّنِي مُسْلِمًا وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالصَّالِحِينَ
Al Quran : O Creator of the heavens and the earth! You are my Protector in this world and in the Hereafter. Cause me to die as a Muslim , and join me with the righteous.
Surah Yusuf (12), verse 101

Al Quran : And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers

اللَّهُ لَا إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ لَا تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلَا نَوْمٌ
لَّهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ مَن ذَا الَّذِي يَشْفَعُ عِندَهُ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ 
يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَلَا يُحِيطُونَ بِشَيْءٍ مِّنْ عِلْمِهِ إِلَّا بِمَا شَاءَ وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ 
وَلَا يَئُودُهُ حِفْظُهُمَا وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ

Allahu La ilaha illa huwa , Alhayyul Qayyum , 
La ta khudhuhu (Kuzuhu) sinatuw wa la naum, 
Lahu ma fissamawati wa ma fil ardh (Ard) 
man dhalladhi ( zallazi) yashfaoo, Eendahu, illa be-eznih, ya'alamu ma bayna aydihim wa ma khalfahum, wa la yuhituna beshayeem-min eelmih, illa bima shaaa, 
wasiya kursiyyuhus samawati wal ardh (ard) 
wala yaooduhu hifdhuhuma (Hizuhuma) wahuwal Aleeyul adheem (azeem).

Translation:
ALLAH! La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), Al-Hayyul-Qayyum (the Ever Living, the One Who sustains and protects all that exists). Neither slumber nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is he that can intercede with Him except with His Permission? He knows what happens to them (His creatures) in this world, and what will happen to them in the Hereafter. And they will never compass anything of His Knowledge except that which He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and He feels no fatigue in guarding and preserving them. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.

Narrated Qatada Radhi allahu anhu 
I asked Anas Radhi allahu anhu , "Was it a custom of the companions of the Prophet Sal-Allahu Alaihi Wasallam to shake hands with one another?" He said, "Yes."

Narrated by Umaimah bint Ruqaiqah Radhi allahu anha I came to the Prophet Sal-Allahu Alaihi Wasallam with some other women, to offer our pledge to him. He said to us: ‘(I accept your pledge) with regard to what you are able to do. But I do not shake hands with women.’”

(To get the protection from the diseases) The Prophet Sal-Allahu Alaihi Wasallam used to say: 

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْبَرَصِ وَالْجُنُونِ وَالْجُذَامِ وَمِنْ سَيِّئِ الأَسْقَامِ
Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-barasi, wal- jununi, wal-judhami, wa sayyi'il-asqami' 

(O Allah! I seek refuge in You from leprosy, madness, elephantiasis ( parasite infection) , and evil diseases).
Sunan Abu Dawud, Book 8, 1549-Sahih

Narrated `Aisha Radhi allahu anha The Prophet Sal-Allahu Alaihi Wasallam used to treat some of his family members by passing his right hand over the place of ailment and used to say,

اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ النَّاسِ أَذْهِبِ الْبَاسَ، اشْفِهِ وَأَنْتَ الشَّافِي، لاَ شِفَاءَ إِلاَّ شِفَاؤُكَ، شِفَاءً لاَ يُغَادِرُ سَقَمًا
(Allahumma Rabbin nas Mudhabal ba'sa, ashfi , anta shafee, la Shaafi illa Anta, shifa'a la yughadiru saqma)

"O Allah, the Lord of the people! Remove the trouble and heal the patient, for You are the Healer. No healing is of any avail but Yours; healing that will leave behind no ailment."

Narrated Anas bin Malik Radhi allahu anhu 
The people of Mecca asked Allah's Messenger Sal-Allahu Alaihi Wasallam to show them a miracle. So he showed them the moon split in two halves between which they saw the Hira mountain.

Narrated `Abdur-Rahman Radhi allahu anhu I asked Masruq, Who informed the Prophet Sal-Allahu Alaihi Wasallam about the Jinns at the night when they heard the Qur'an?' He said, 'Your father `Abdullah informed me that a tree informed the Prophet Sal-Allahu Alaihi Wasallam about them.

Hadith: Allah's Messenger Peace be upon him as saying: I recognise the stone in Mecca which used to pay me salutations before my advent as a Prophet and I recognise that even now.

Narrated Anas bin Malik Radi Allahu Anhu : I heard the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam saying, "Perform the bowing and the prostration properly (with peace of mind), for, by Him in Whose Hand my soul is, I see you from behind my back when you bow and when you prostrate."

Before the Prophecy of Muhammad Sal-Allahu Alaihi Wasallam, Jinn used to go near the heaven and used to listen the dicussion and news of angels and then after coming back used to say to their fortellers and that fortellers mix many false stories with this and then used to say to the people, but after the Prophecy of Sal-Allahu Alaihi Wasallam they were being prevented and if any jinn try to go near sky to listen any news, a flaming fires comes behind them 
Tafseer ibn katheer , Al Quran , Surah Al-Jinn (78) verse 8-9
( Explanation : Sahih Muslim, Book 4 , 902)

Al Quran : ( A group of jinn said) And we have sought to reach the heaven; but found it filled with stern guards and flaming fires. And verily, we used to sit there in stations, to (steal) a hearing, but any who listens now will find a flaming fire watching him in ambush.
Al Quran , Surah Al-Jinn (72) verse 8-9



Narrated Abu Huraira Radhi allahu anhu : The Prophet Sal-Allahu Alaihi Wasallam said, "A strong demon from the Jinns came to me yesterday suddenly, so as to spoil my prayer, but Allah enabled me to overpower him, and so I caught him and intended to tie him to one of the pillars of the Mosque so that all of you might see him, but I remembered the invocation of my brother Solomon: "And grant me a kingdom such as shall not belong to any other after me.' (38.35) so I let him go cursed."
