Mafhum-e-Hadith: The Benefit ( Sawab ) which reach to the Muslim even after death
.
1. Abu Huraira Radhi allahu anhu Reported , the Prophet Sallallahu alaihi wasallam Said
When a man dies, his acts come to an end, but three, recurring charity, or knowledge (by which people) benefit, or a pious son, who prays for him (for the deceased).
Sahih Muslim, Book 13 , 4005

2. Narrated Ibn 'Abbas Radhi allahu anhu : The mother of sad bin 'Ubada Radiallahuanhu died in his absence. He said, "O ALLAH's Apostle Sal-Allahu Alaihi Wasallam! My mother died in my absence; will it be of any benefit for her if I give Sadaqa on her behalf?" The Prophet Sal-Allahu Alaihi Wasallam said, "Yes," Sad said, "I make you a witness that I gave my garden called Al Makhraf in charity on her behalf."

3. Narrated Anas bin Malik Radi Allahu Anhu: The Prophet Sal-Allahu Alaihi Wasallam said, "If any Muslim plants any plant and a human being or an animal eats of it, he will be rewarded as if he had given that much in charity."
Sahih Bukhari, Book 73, No. 41

4. Aisha Radi Allahu Anha said that A person came to the Apostle of Allah Sal-Allahu Alaihi Wasallam and said: My mother died suddenly without having made any will. I think she would have definitely given Sadaqa if she had been able to speak. Would she have a reward if I gave Sadaqa on her behalf? He Sal-Allahu Alaihi Wasallam said: Yes. 
Sahih Muslim, Book 005, Number 2196: 

5. It was narrated that Ibn Abbas Radi Allahu Anhu said A man said: O Messenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ! My father has died and he did not perform Hajj; shall I perform Hajj on his behalf?' He said: 'Don't you think that if your father owed a debt you would pay it off?' The man said: 'Yes.' He said: 'The debt owed to Allah is more deserving (of being paid off)."' 
Sunan Nasaii, Book 24, Hadith 2640-Sahih

6. It was narrated that Ibn Abbas Radi Allahu Anhu A woman came to the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said: O Messenger of Allah, my sister has died and she owed a fast of two consecutive months.’ He said: ‘Do you not think that if your sister owed a debt, you would pay it off for her?’ She said: ‘Of course.’ He said: ‘The right of Allah is greater. 
Sunan ibn Majah, Book 7, Hadith 1758-Sahih 

7. It was narrated from Ibn Buraidah that his father said A woman came to the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam and said: O Messenger of Allah, my mother has died and she owed a fast. Should I fast on her behalf?’ He said: ‘Yes.’” 
Sunan ibn Majah, Book 7, Hadith 1759-Sahih

8. Narrated Aisha Radi Allahu Anha A man said to the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam "My mother died suddenly and I thought that if she had lived she would have given alms. So, if I give alms now on her behalf, will she get the reward?" The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam replied, Yes (she will get). 
Sahih Bukhari, Volume 2, Book 23, 470

9. It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah Sal-Allahu Alaihi Wasallam said:
“Whoever dies being prepared in the cause of Allah, will be given continuously the reward for the good deeds that he used to do, and he will be rewarded with provision, and he will be kept safe from Fattan ( fitna or punishment of grave) and Allah will raise him on the Day of Resurrection free of fright.”
Sunan ibn Majah, Book 24, Hadith 2767-Sahih
