✦ The Prophet Sal-Allahu Alaihi wasallam said Is any one of you incapable of reciting a third of the Qur'an in a night? They (the Companions) asked: How could one recite a third of the Qur'an (in a night)? Upon this The Prophet Sal-Allahu Alaihi wasallam said "Qul Hu Wallahu Ahad" (Surah Ikhlas) is equivalent to a third of the Qur'an. 

Sahih Muslim, Book 004, 1769 

✦The Prophet Sal-Allahu Alaihi wasallam came out to us and said: I am going to recite before you one-third of the Qur'an. He (the Holy Prophet) then recited:"Qul Hu Wallahu Ahad, ALLAHus-Samad...." to the end of the Surah.(Surah Ikhlas)

Translation: Say He is ALLAH , the One and Only 

ALLAH , the Eternal, He begets not, nor was He begotten.

And there is none like unto Him.
