✦ Al Quran : Verily ! Allah and His angels send blessings on the Prophet ( Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam): O you who believe! Send your blessings on him, and salute him with all respect.
Al Quran, Surah Al-Ahzab (33), Aayah 56
✦ Narrated By Aws bin Aws radi allahu anhu The Prophet peace_be_upon_him said: Among the most excellent of your days is Friday; on it Adam was created, on it he died, on it the last trumpet will be blown, and on it the shout will be made, so invoke more blessings on me that day, for your blessings will be submitted to me. The people asked: Apostle of Allah, how can it be that our blessings will be submitted to you while your body is decayed? He replied: Allah, the Exalted, has prohibited the earth from consuming the bodies of Prophets.
Sunan Abu Dawud, Book 3, No.1042-Sahih
✦ Abdullah bin Masud Radi Allahu Anhu narrated that :The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said: "The person closest to me on the Day of Judgement is the one who sent the most Salat (durud) upon me."
Jamia Tirmidhi, Vol. 1, Book 3, Hadith 484-Hasan
✦ It was narrated from Husain ibn Ali may Allah be pleased with them that the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him said: The miser is the one in whose presence I am mentioned and he does not send blessings upon me.

✦ Anas bin Malik Radi Allahu Anhu said The prophet peace be upon him Said whoever send Salah ( Durud) upon me Once, Allah will send him Salah upon him ten fold, and will erase ten sins from him and will raise him ten degrees in Status
Sunan An Nasaii, Vol 2, 1298 ( Sahih)
✦ It was narrated from Abdullah bin Abi Talhah, from his father, that The Messenger of Allah Peace be upon him came one day with a joyful expression on his face. He Peace be upon him said: "Jibril came to me and said: ( Allah Said) 'Will it not please you, O Muhammad, (to know) that no one of your Ummah will send salah upon you but I will send salah upon him tenfold, and no one will send salams upon you but I will send salams upon him tenfold?"
Sunan Nasai, Vol 2, #1296 (Hasan)
✦ Abu Hurairah Radi allahu anhu said that The Prophet peace be upon him said: invoke blessings on me, for your blessings reach me wherever you may be.
Sunan Abu Dawud, Book #10, #2037-Sahih
✦ Allahumma salli ala muhammad wa ala aali muhammad
kamaa sallaita ala ibrahima wa ala aali ibrahima innaka hamidum majeed.
Allahumma baareek ala muhammad wa ala aali muhammad
kamaa baarakta ala ibrahima wa ala aali ibrahima innaka hamidum majeed.
