✦ The Authentic Dua e Qunut for Witr Prayer

Narrated Al-Hasan ibn Ali Radi Allahu Anhuma The Messenger of Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam taught me some words that I say during the witr. (in the supplication of the witr.) They were:

اللَّهُمَّ اهْدِنِي فِيمَنْ هَدَيْتَ

Allahumma ahdini fiman hadayat 

وَعَافِنِي فِيمَنْ عَافَيْتَ

Wa Aafini fiman Aafayat

وَتَوَلَّنِي فِيمَنْ تَوَلَّيْتَ 

Wa tawallani fiman tawallayat

وَبَارِكْ لِي فِيمَا أَعْطَيْتَ 

Wa barikli fima Aatayat 

وَقِنِي شَرَّ مَا قَضَيْتَ

Wa qinni sharra ma qadayat 

إِنَّكَ تَقْضِي وَلاَ يُقْضَى عَلَيْكَ 

innaka taqdi wa la yuqda alayak 

وَإِنَّهُ لاَ يَذِلُّ مَنْ وَالَيْتَ

Wa Innahu la yazillu man walayat 

وَلاَ يَعِزُّ مَنْ عَادَيْتَ

Wa la yaizzu man aadayat 

تَبَارَكْتَ رَبَّنَا وَتَعَالَيْتَ

Tabarakta Rabbana wa taalayat

✦ Translation : O Allah, guide me among those whom You have guided, 

Grant me security among those you have granted security, 

Turn to me in friendship among those on whom You have turned in friendship, 

And bless me in what You have bestowed, 

And save me from the evil of what You have decreed. 

For verily You decree and none can decree over You 

And he can never be humiliated whom you have befriended. 

And he can never be disgraced whom you have supported 

Blessed are You, O Lord, and Exalted.
