✦ It was narrated from Ubayy bin Kab Radi Allahu Anhu that The Messenger of Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam used to pray witr with three rakahs. In the first he would recite: “Sabbah ismi Rabbikal aala-Surah Aala” in the second: Surah Al kafirun , and in the third: Surah Al-ikhlas And he would say the Qunut before bowing, and when he finished he would say: Subhanal-Malikil-Quddus (Glory be to the Sovereign, the Most Holy) three times, elongating the words the last time.

✦ It was narrated that Aishah Radi Allahu Anha said: “The Messenger of Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam used to say Taslim after every two Rakah, and he would perform Witr with one Rakah.
Sunan ibn Majah, Book 5, 1177-Sahih

✦ It was narrated from Ubayy bin Ka’b that the Messenger of Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam used to pray Witr and he would recite Qunut before Ruku.

✦ It was narrated that Anas bin Malik said: He was asked about Qunut in the morning prayer, and he said: “We used to recite Qunut before Ruku and afterwards.

✦ It was narrated from Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari that the Messenger of Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said: Witr is Haq Whoever wishes let him pray Witr with five (Rakah), and whoever wishes let him pray Witr with three (Rakah), and whoever wishes let him pray Witr with one (Rakah).
