Hadith: Saying Salam While leaving is sunnah

Narrated AbuHurayrah Radhi allahu anhu 

The Prophet Sal-Allahu Alaihi Wasallam said: When one of you comes to an assembly, he should give a salutation and if he feels inclined to get up, he should give a salutation

Sunan Abu Dawud, Book 42, 5189-Sahih

Narrated Abu Hurairah: that the Messenger of Allah Sal-Allahu Alaihi Wasallam said: "When one of you arrives at the gathering, then give the Salam, and if he is given a place to sit, then let him sit. Then when he stands, let him give the Salam

Jamia Tirmidhi , Book 40, Hadith 2706-Hasan

Comments: Whicle leaving most of our muslims brothers and sisters say fi amanillah or Allah hafiz but saying Salam is better than that and its sunnah too.
