 *Importence of friday in the light of Ahadith*

✦ 1. Al Quran : O you who believe! When the call is proclaimed for the Salat on Friday, come to the remembrance of ALLAH and leave off business.That is better for you if you did but know  Then when the Salat (prayer) is ended, you may disperse through the land, and seek the Bounty of ALLAH, and remember ALLAH much: that you may be successful.

Al Quran, Surah Jumaa (62), Aayah: 9-10

✦ 2. Al Quran : Verily ! Allah and His angels send blessings on the Prophet ( Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam): O you who believe! Send your blessings on him, and salute him with all respect. 

Al Quran, Surah Al-Ahzab (33), Aayah 56

✦ 3. Narrated By Aws radi allahu anhu The Prophet peace_be_upon_him said: Among the most excellent of your days is Friday; on it Adam was created, on it he died, on it the last trumpet will be blown, and on it the shout will be made, so invoke more blessings on me 

that day, for your blessings will be submitted to me. The people asked: Apostle of Allah, how can it be that our blessings will be submitted to you while your body is decayed? He replied: Allah, the Exalted, has prohibited the earth from consuming the bodies of 

Prophets. 

Sunan Abu Dawud, Book 3, 1042-Sahih

✦ 4. Anas bin Malik Radi Allahu Anhu said The prophet peace be upon him Said whoever send Salah ( Durud) upon me Once, Allah will send him Salah upon him ten fold, and will erase ten sins from him and will raise him ten degrees in Status 

Sunan An Nasaii, Vol 2, 1298-Sahih

✦ 5. Narrated Abu Huraira Radiallahu anhu : The Prophet Sal-Allahu Alaihi Wasallam said, "When it is a Friday, the angels stand at the gate of the mosque and keep on writing the names of the persons coming to the mosque in succession according to their arrivals. 

The example of the one who enters the mosque in the earliest hour is that of one offering a camel (in sacrifice). The one coming next is like one offering a cow and then a ram and then a chicken and then an egg respectively. When the Imam comes out (for Juma prayer) 

they (i.e. angels) fold their papers and listen to the Khutba.

✦ 6. Narrated Salman Al-Farsi Radiallahuanhu : ALLAH's Apostle Sal-Allahu Alaihi Wasallam said, "Anyone who takes a bath on friday 

and cleans himself as much as he can and puts oil (on his hair) or scents himself; and then proceeds for the prayer and does not force his way between two persons , and prays as much as is written for him and remains quiet when the Imam delivers the Khutba, all his sins in between the present and the last friday will be forgiven." 

Sahih Bukhari, Book 13, 33

✦ 7. It was narrated that Ibn Abbas Radi Allahu Anhu The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: This day ( Friday)  is an Eid  which Allah has ordained for the Muslims. Whoever comes to Friday (prayer), let him take a bath and if he has perfume then let him 

put some on. And upon you (I urge to use) is the tooth stick.”

sunan ibn majah,Book 5, 1098–Hasan

✦ 8. Narrated by Abu saeed khudri radi allahu anhu the Prophet peace be upon him said Whoever reads Surah Al-Kahf on the day of Jumah, will have a light that will shine from him from one Friday to the next.”

Al-Haakim, 2/399;- Sahih

✦ 9. Narrated Abdullah bin umar may ALLAH be pleased with him said that Prophet peace be upon him said while he was on minbar that The people should stop neglecting Friday prayer or ALLAH will pleace a seal on their hearts and they will be deemed as being among 

the negligent

✦ 10. Abu Huraira Radi allahu anhu reported:The Messenger of Allah Sal-Allahu alaihi wasallam said: Five prayers and from one Friday prayer to (the next) Friday prayer is an expiation (of the sins committed) in between their intervals if major sins are not 

committed.

Sahih Muslim, Book 2, Hadith 448

✦ 11. Narrated Abu Huraira Radi allahu anhu Abul Qasim (the Prophet Sal-Allahu Alaihi Wasallam ) said, "There is an hour (or a moment) of particular significance on Friday. If 

it happens that a Muslim is offering a prayer and invoking Allah for some good at that very moment, Allah will grant him his 

request.

Sahih Bukhari, Book 63, Hadith 216

✦ 12. It was narrated from Jabir bin Abdullah Radi allahu anhu that The Messenger of Allah Sal-Allahu Alaihi Wasallam said: "Friday is twelve hours in which there is no Muslim slave who asks Allah for something but He will give it to him, so seek it in the last hour after Asr.

Sunan Nasaii, Book 14, Hadith 139-Sahih

✦ 13.  Anas bin Malik Radi allahu anhu narrated that :

the Prophet Sal-Allahu Alaihi Wasallam said: "Seek out the hour that is hoped for on Friday after Asr until the sun has set."

Jamia Tirmidhi , Book 4, Hadith 489-Sahih

✦ 14. Abdullah bin Amr narrated Radi Allahu Anhu that The Prophet Sallallahu alaihi wasallam said: Any Muslim dies on the day of Friday or the night of Friday, Allah protects him from the trials of the grave.

Jamia Tirimizi, Book 5, 1074-Hasan

✦ 15. Narrated Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-'As: The Prophet peace_be_upon_him said: Three types of people attend Friday prayer; One is present in a frivolous way and that is all he gets from it; another comes with a supplication, Allah may grant or refuse his request 

as He wishes; another is present silently and quietly with-out stepping over a Muslim or annoying anyone, and that is an atonement for his sins till the next Friday and three days more, the reason being that Allah, the Exalted, says: "He who does a good deed will 

have ten times as much .

Sunan Abu Dawud, Book 3, 1108-Hasan

✦ 16. Narrated Jabir bin Abdullah Radi Allahu Anhu A person entered the mosque while the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam was delivering the Khutba on a Friday. The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said to him, "Have you prayed?" The man replied in the 

negative. The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said, "Get up and pray two rakat. 

Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 2, Book 13, 52 

✦ 17. Jabir bin Abdullah said that the Messenger of Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam delivered the sermon and said: When any one of you comes for the Friday (prayer) and the Imam comes out (from his apartment), (even then) should observe two rak'ahs (of prayer). 

Sahih Muslim, Book 4, Hadith 1901 

✦ 18. Sulaik Ghatafani came on Friday when the Messenger of Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam was delivering the sermon. He (Sulaik) sat down. He (the Holy Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ) said to him: O Sulaik Get up and pray two rakat and make them short, and 

then said: When any one of you comes on Friday, while the Imam delivers the sermon, he should observe two rak'ahs a

nd should make them short

✦ 19. Narrated by Abu Hurairah The Prophet Peace be upon him Said When any one of  you prays Jumu'ah, let him pray four (Rak'ahs) after that. 

Sunan Nasaii, Vol 1, 1427-Sahih

✦ 20. Narrated Tariq ibn Shihab Radi allahu anhu The Prophet Sal-Allahu Alaihi Wasallam said: The Friday prayer in congregation is a necessary duty for every Muslim, with four exceptions; a slave, a woman, a boy, and a sick person.

Sunan Abu Dawud, Book 3, Hadith 1062-Sahih
