 It was narrated that Safwan bin Umayyah Radi Allahu Anhu said: "The plague, abdominal illness, drowning and dying in childbirth are martyrdom." (One of the narrators) said: Abu 'Uthman Radi Allahu Anhu narrated this to us several times, and on one occasion he attributed it to the Prophet.

Sunan Nasaii, Book 21, Hadith 2056-Sahih

✦ Narrated Abu Huraira Radi allahu anhu Allah's Messenger Sal-Allahu Alaihi Wasallam said, "Five are regarded as martyrs: They are those who die because of plague, Abdominal disease, drowning and a falling building (one who is buried under debris) and the martyrsin Allah's Cause."
